Following #OpenEd09
A number of friends that I am connected with on Twitter, including Alec Couros, Nancy White and Scott Leslie, are participating (and/or in the organizing committee) for Open Education 2009 (the first time, from what I’ve read) from Aug 12th to Aug 14th, 2009.
Sadly, I didn’t have the $ to fork out for the conference, but as an academic and an educator with a strong social media presence, I have been pretty much glued to the computer monitor for the uStream and the tweets.
Moreover, since I can’t make it to OpenEd ’09 itself, I’d love to see them organize a Tweetup. I know that Scott told me he’d inform me if they had a tweetup, but just wanted to throw the idea out there again 
To everyone participating in Open Education ’09 – welcome to Vancouver! Enjoy the fantastic sessions (and the gorgeous weather, we ordered it just for you).

Hey, I’m not there… yet. Hopefully I’ll be in town Friday night. Maybe we can organize the tweetup. However, I’m currently coming down with some bug – fever, etc. Ick.
