My very first passion: Dancing

dancing My parents always wanted their five boys to be well-rounded and able to engage in a variety of activities. Since we were little, we took piano lessons. Me, always the black sheep and the rebel, decided that I was going to fulfill my parents’ desires to be artistic (we had four areas: humanitarian and volunteer activities, art, science and sports) by undertaking theatre and dancing.

I have to say that while I thought I was much more passionate about being a stage actor, soon after I found out that I have always had a passion for dancing. I have taught dance (salsa primarily, although I do a bit of tango) and since I went to graduate school (which left me without much time to strut my stuff) I have regretted leaving competitive dancing. I plan to come back eventually, just not sure when.

How about you? Are you passionate about dancing or any other artistic pursuit?

My hidden passion is art – painting, collage, sculpture. I’m fortunate that my work allows me to write full-time! And being online with friends like you has allowed me to open up and start blogging again!

Keep up these great post Raul!
