Blogathon 2009: Raul’s fundraising efforts for the BC Cancer Foundation

Last year, the only surviving sister of my Mom, my auntie M, passed away from cancer. In 1999, my auntie L (who was like my second mother) succumbed to advanced lung cancer. In 1997, I lost my grandma M (my Dad’s Mom) to pancreatic cancer. I have fought many battles with cancer and this year I am doing it again by writing 49 blog posts in 24 hours. I dedicate this Blogathon to my beloved family members who have died the disease and to my good friend Derek K. Miller who is bravely fighting (and doing well!) against colorectal cancer. Please consider donating to the BC Cancer Foundation. Every little bit helps!

If you have any questions during the ‘thon, I’ll be on AIM (sohorhapsody) and LJ (sohorhapsody.livejournal.com) for the next 24 hours.

I’ve had a lot of family members, some in BC, who have either survived or died from cancer. Good luck.
