Cross-promoting Blogathon 2009
One of the things that just amazes me and makes me proud about the people that are in my Twitter network is that everyone is focused on one goal, regardless of who they follow first – HELPING. I have noticed many of my fellow Blogathoners retweeting my requests for donations to my BC Cancer Foundation cause, and I have also done it myself (re-tweeting their requests for pledges).
Really heartwarming as well, many of my own followers have retweeted my requests on behalf of my friends and colleagues. This “rippling through the network” effect enhances the individual efforts, it does not weaken them. Strength in numbers, indeed.
Kudos and thanks again to Rebecca Bollwitt for organizing the Vancouver edition and kudos to the local Fraser Valley organizers and those in other parts of the world. The global Blogathon 2009 page is here. I totally copied the list of bloggers from Rebecca’s sidebar, so I am pretty sure all the participants are there!
This is going to be A LOT of fun. Painful, exhausting, emotional, but definitely a lot of fun.
