On a summery day in Vancouver, what do YOU do?
I am always delighted by the many ways in which I can enjoy the city I live in. It’s a beautiful area for the better part of Spring and Summer (as you can see from the photo below).
So my question to you is … what have you done recently on a beautiful summer day like this?

I took a day off to meet up with friends to have lunch, a walk in the park, shop at Robson, and eat some more. I love that my closest friends can flexibly take days off like I do. Makes going back to work so much better.
Took a hike up Crown Mountain to look down on the city from 1500m
Grab the camera and go for a bike around the sea wall. It’s hard to imagine how anything could beat that, especially while rounding the bends on the northwest side of Stanley Park.
What don’t I do? Typically its a walk around with the camera or hiking (day hike) the north shore mountains.
Walking around the area and of course paddling down around the creek with other bloggers/twitters.
Haha – I read in my office most of the day, but do take breaks to visit the campus bunnies. Just watching them hop around campus is surprisingly relaxing *grin*
If I can’t make it somewhere to surf, then I try to get myself out to the driving range or the golf course… or simply just enjoy a walk in one of our many BEAUTIFUL parks!

If it’s above 74, I try to find the nearest air conditioning. Summer is not my favorite, I don’t do well in heat.
