Upcoming seminar: “Cyber Security and Your Business: How to Protect Your Customers from Online Threats”

My good friend Jonathon Narvey invited me to a Better Business Bureau event where Vaclav Vincalek, the President of PCIS will be speaking on “Cyber Security and Your Business: How to Protect Your Customers from Online Threats”. This event promises to be a very good one (although given my commitments, I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it).

The presentation will include an overview of the following issues:

* How and why cyber criminals target your business

* The consequences of a web security breach

* How effective network security, web security and identity management tools and practices can protect your business assets and your customers’ privacy

I would just add that there will be some information that will be helpful for corporate bloggers or for people using social media to advance campaigns, while maintaining the security of their online identity. Hope you can make it. In any case, I should see you Thursday evening at the Blogger meetup.
