Arsenal Pulp books and the Dictionary of Homophobia
I love Monique Trottier for many reasons, and one of the top ones is her vast knowledge of the book publishing world. She emailed me recently to let me know about Arsenal Pulp Books’ volume The Dictionary of Homophobia.
With the recent discussions on #amazonfail I am always excited to hear about open and frank discussions of topics that are often stigmatized (and yes, you may be surprised to hear that homosexuality is STILL stigmatized in many, many countries, and that it is seen as a disease, an illness, or a mental deviant behavior).
I had an opportunity to examine an excerpt from the introduction, (again, thanks to Monique), and I am pleased with the very fine, non-controversial, analytical approach that the authors have taken to examining homophobia, homosexuality and the sources of ‘fear of the queer’.
I was told by Monique that Arsenal Pulp might be interested in learning more about how to promote their books through social media. I applaud them on their interest. I am sure Monique will be sharing some of her social media and marketing insight, and they’ll learn lots from her!d marketing insight, and they’ll learn lots from her!

Ah thank you very much for the link Raul!
Oops, mistake with the title, which was surely my fault when I first mentioned it: Dictionary of Homophobia.
Lots of great ideas for this book, especially around May 17 and International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
Cheers and thanks again.
