Earth Hour Canada and living green

Last year, I noticed that Corinna had written a substantial post on Earth Hour Canada (to which I linked in a linklove post earlier in 2008). She’s been promoting the very worthy work of WWF for a couple of years now, which I think is awesome. This year, Corinna has written again about the issue and how she and Adam try to be green year-round. In January of this year, the World Wildlife Federation (organizers of Earth Canada Hour) contacted me to help spread the word on Earth Hour Canada (hat tips to Dave Jones for linking them up with me) and I was very happy to do so. Several of us will be spreading the word soon so I’ll be sure to link back when I know about their posts.

On March 28th, 2009, from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, millions of Canadians will turn off their lights for Earth Hour in support of action on climate change. You can encourage friends and family on the WWF-Earth Hour Canada site. The WWF is also encouraging participants to think about ways to reduce your carbon footprint (e.g. transit, unplugging electrical appliances, etc.)

More information on their site. Also, you can follow Earth Hour Canada on Twitter here and join the Earth Canada Hour Facebook page here.
