Ideas on Tap (January 2009) Video-Recap

Seeing as I’m overwhelmed with a number of projects, tomorrow is WordCamp Whistler, and I’m practically booked on Sunday all day, I don’t think I’ll have a chance to write a proper recap of Ideas on Tap. Re-invented by the fine folks of 6S Marketing, the new and improved Ideas on Tap provides entrepreneurs with a 60 second time allowance to wow and convince potential investors and, in general, a very tech-savvy crowd.

I attend Ideas on Tap not only because it’s a great event for the Vancouver tech community but also because 6S folks are also good friends of mine and I like the way they design their events. As a social event organizer myself (I organize the Vancouver Bloggers Meetup and regularly organize other events), I know how hard and how time consuming it is to put everything together.

Kudos to Chris Breikss and his team at 6S Marketing, and to Rebecca who as always, did a fabulous job of live-blogging the event for M2O (although you’ll read it on her site).

I took video of the four presentations, and the arrival of Emme Rogers (one of the lead writers of the blog Sexy in VanCity). We arrived all together (Tris, Emme and I) since Tris had invited me to the opera, and we had agreed to escort Emme to the event. Awesome!
