Restaurant review – Theresa’s (Denman Street, West End)
My friend ML and I hadn’t done brunch in a while so we headed down to Theresa’s on Denman Street. I hadn’t realized this place was so incredibly popular until we got there (admittedly, after 1pm). The service was prompt and friendly, and the prices are substantially cheaper than any other brunch place I’ve been to recently.
I ordered a C (Charlie) – 2 eggs scrambled with white toast and 2 sausages ($ 4.50) and a soft drink ($ 1.00), which was good in portion size and flavor. It’s funny though – the sausages here are better than at other greasyspoon joints I’ve been to.
Our bill combined wasn’t even over $ 10.00 (before tip) so I can definitely attest to the fact that Theresa’s is indeed a very inexpensive brunch place.

Oh ok so this on the same block as me just up from the Book Warehouse? Before the ‘Tart’ store at the corner of Denman and Nelson?
Wow! Those are some good prices. I’d like to think of myself as a breakfast/brunch specialist, but I can’t see myself heading downtown from Richmond to get some chow in the morning.
I guess I’ll have to wait until the next Shaw Christmas Party to try ‘em out.
The Urbanspoon badge says Commercial Drive which is Theresa’s Eatery but you said Denman, which is Theresa’s Cafe (at 1005 Denman near Nelson). I think you may have the first Urbanspoon review for Theresa’s Cafe… do you get to create the entry?
Regardless, cheap breakfast FTW!
I think the problem is that you’re all misspelling Teresa, so Urbanspoon is classifying it as Theresa’s on the Drive.
Hi Tess,
Nope. The UrbanSpoon spoonback is right – this is Teresa’s Cafe. I need to change the title of the post, though!
Sorry, Raul – I should have said that when I was looking at the Urbanspoon listing for Theresa’s on the Drive, I clicked a link that brought me to this post. No need to publish this comment. Just want to let you know.
