Cherry Blossom Haiku Invitational deadline extended to Jan 9th, 2009
Via Mike Allison, I learned about the extended deadline for the Vancouver Haiku Invitational 2009.
The Cherry Blossom Festival is inviting participants to submit haikus with this year’s theme of “international friendship and the cherry tree.” The deadline has been extended to January 7th, so your readers might be interested knowing they still have time to write and submit a haiku. The winner will be announced March 28, 2009 and will be displayed on Buses and SkyTrains.
I love cherry blossoms, and even though I’m not really good at writing haiku, I would encourage every one of my readers to enter the competition. Here is the website for more information.
