Tip # 8 – Listen to your Circadian cycles and follow them

We all know the phrase… “I’m a night owl”. I happen to be one of those. My best hours and most productive? 10pm to 6 am. Lately, because of a (luckily unsuccessful) attempted entry into my house, I’ve had my Circadian rhythm really switched around.

The idea here is that you should listen to your body when it asks you to rest and work when it can be more alert. I’ve learned to go to sleep and have a nap when my body asks me for it. That’s what I did when I was most productive, and right now I’m doing the same. Don’t push yourself indiscriminately. Try to just follow your rhythms.
