Farmstead Wines’ gift for first 10 photo submitters

Frankly, I’m kind of surprised that, given how much wine the Vancouver tech community consumes, I was still lucky enough to score a gift in the Farmstead Wines-organized Twitter contest. To quote Anthony:

“1st 10 ppl to post a new photo (twitpic, blog, flickr, etc) wearing a vinaroon button or drinking farmstead wine get a special gift from us”

My photo was taken right before I opened a bottle of a really fantastic Martin Arndorfer Grüner Veltliner Strasser Weinberge 2006″. I don’t know what people might think of this wine, but I absolutely loved it. It’s smooth and sleek, in my humble opinion.

Funny how things go, two PhDs have scored gifts so far (Dr. Rachel Black and well, myself!). I haven’t met Rachel in person but I find her research fascinating). Wine, and in particular Farmstead Wines have brought really awesome and interesting people to my life, and very positive, interesting and exciting discussions about pathways towards more sustainable farming.
