Should I just cave in and create a Facebook profile already?

I did a quick Twitter poll re: whether I should join Facebook or not. In previous posts, I have pondered whether or not I should do it. The general response is “yes, you should”. I do feel that if I create a Facebook profile, it has to be SUPER private, have pretty much NO information whatsoever, and it would probably be something like “Raul, aka Hummingbird604″ as a name (with my GMail as login). Still, I kind of want to hear options/suggestions/recommendations. Thanks :)

If you’re going to register, do so with an email address you never use. Facebook is known to sell the members’ email addresses to spam services.

I’m skipping Facebook, and Twitter…too many things to manage! I prefer to let my blog and my flickr account be my public faces to the world, is all.
