The Walk Score
I had read about the Walk Score a few months ago, and now hat tips are very much due to David Drucker, who reminded me about it. I would say that Mount Pleasant has a very decent Walk Score (78 out of 100) although I know that some locations like the downtown Vancouver area probably have walk scores of 100. Have YOU calculated your Walk Score? If so, how good is it (compared to other walk scores – where 0 is bad and 100 is very good)?

Funny, I just commented on David’s post as well. I’m surprised that Mount Pleasant’s score is only 78 out of 100. What do they have to do, put a business on every street corner and at the bottom of every residential building of three storeys or more?
Oh, right. They do. Well, I guess 78 isn’t that bad…
@ Jonathon – I am disappointed with the 78/100 because I think we deserve a higher score than that.
I live one block off Davie Street in Vancouver’s West End, and I scored only 88/100! I was sure it’d be higher than that!
P.S. So excited for next Friday, Raul! Are you coming to Playland with all of us too?
Yeah very excited – not sure about playland, hope to!
