Upcoming event – Projecting Change Film Festival

Given the increased interest in sustainability, we shouldn’t be surprised that someone came up with the brilliant idea of organizing a film festival focused solely on environment and sustainability issues. The idea is simply outstanding.

What’s the idea of the festival? From their website:

PROJECTING CHANGE is an innovative organization that focuses on promoting Green and Sustainable Living through the use of entertaining & educational Film. Through the strategic use of engaging films and inspiring speakers we aim to increase awareness and promote change within our local community. Through these efforts all profits are invested back into local initiatives.

The festival opens on the 8th and goes until the 11th of May, 2008. Here’s the schedule, and all shows will be at the Ridge (on Arbutus and almost 16th Avenue). Drop me a line if you need more information, as I have been in touch with the organizers and I *might* get media accreditation.

I’m still working out the logistics but I’ve *very* excited to check out “Baraka”. The lineup for the entire festival looks quite good.

On the note of films to change the world, I’ll direct your attention over to Pangea day.

There are a number of places in Vancouver doing events as well:

Thanks for the heads up Marina, I’ll write up about them!

[...] received a media pass for a film festival, and I’m SUPER EXCITED! I just heard from the Projecting Change Film Festival organizers, and they’ve arranged to have a media pass for me. [...]
