Countering rudeness with music
Surprisingly, my body reacted to having been sick for over two weeks in the most unexpected fashion: I could hold my energy for long hours. Yesterday (Monday) was a really productive day and I was able to do a lot of work. So much that I stayed up until 3 am again. But as you may have read from previous posts, my upstairs neighbours are really noisy and they tend to wake me up.
This morning I woke up naturally at around 9.30am (I know, less than 7 hours sleep is not very healthy) but I started hearing noise as soon as I was barely conscious and thus got up and started my computer. But when the noise-makers started increasing the volume, I thought “ok, it’s time to counter rudeness with music” so I turned up the volume in my speakers and played Pat Benatar’s “Invincible”. Best-solution-ever. Ten minutes later, the house was completely silent. So right now, I am happily working at home and there is no noise, no sound, nothing.
For your listening pleasure, may I present “Invincible” with Pat Benatar…
