What kind of Canadian are you? Take the @GlobeAndMail (unscientific) Canada Day quiz
Dear God. I always have felt British Columbian. I came here more than a decade ago, I fell in love here, I have some of my best friends here, I have succeeded as an academic, a human being and I graduated from two of my degrees here (most importantly, my PhD!). So, when I took the rather unscientific Canada Day Quiz by the Globe and Mail, I almost fainted when I saw the result. Check for yourself. I think I’m going to go and have some sushi and drown my sorrows in BC wine.

I always thought that “Quebecker” wasn’t a real or proper term, so I looked it up. As it turns out, “Quebecois” refers more to the francophones in La Belle Province while “Quebecker” refers to the anglophones. How about that?

As an aside, it says I’m most like an East Coaster and I’m not exactly pleased with that either.

@ Michael – That’s what shocks me. What the hell happened with me? Why am I now a Quebecois? Not that I mind, I love the fashion and la belle langue but… seriously. I’m as British Columbian as they come. Except, you know, for the smoking pot part
Come on. They’re talking more about the values than the fact that you live here. BCers and QCers have a lot in common this way. They love the environment and are on the liberal side.
And because you’re Latin, trust me, you have much more in common with us than the anglos of this country
