Timothy’s Frozen Yogurt (Steveston Village, Richmond BC)

Timothy's Frozen Yogurt (Steveston, BC)

It IS definitely patio weather right now. So I figured I’d share with you some good spots maybe not for drinks but just for food, in general. I am not sure if you remember that last summer my Mom came for a month to hang out with me. I took her to Steveston Village for the day and we had an opportunity to eat Timothy’s Frozen Yogurt (Steveston Village is located in Richmond, BC, and has a lot of Japanese-related history).

I love Timothy’s Frozen Yogurt. For some reason, In Steveston calls the area where Timothy’s is Garry Point (why is that, if a reader knows I would appreciate knowing).

Disclosure: I paid for both my Mom and my gelato’s on my own dime. I have no financial connection, nor was a post expected.

There are two Timothy’s in Steveston. The first Timothy’s is within the busy village-y area of Steveston Village, and I believe that is called “Timothy’s (Bayview)”. I think what happened was that Pajo’s (another Steveston favourite – for fish and chips), teamed up with Timothy’s to open a smaller branch of their businesses within Garry Point Park for people who enjoy. Although there are two Pajo’s and two Timothy’s in Stevestons, both (or all four) locations all seem to be doing fairly well, at least whenever I walk by!

Hope this clears things up! i love Steveston, and go there whenever I can!

Timothy’s and summer go hand in hand and have been since the early 90′s :)

I walked by a huge line up at Timothy’s (near the boats) 1 1/2 wks ago and over heard someone say it’s the best they have ever had!

Thanks Jessica for the clarification, Kimm and Lori for reaffirming that there is a reason to how much I love Timothy’s :)

As for the history of the name of Garry Point Park… Wikipedia to the rescue. I did not know this fun fact until now either. I grew up in Steveston and can still remember playing on the giant sand dunes there before it became “park land”

“It was named in 1827 to honour Nicholas Garry, former Deputy Governor of the Hudson’s Bay Company”
