Margaritas (Toronto)

I love Mexican food, and the funny thing is, there are PLENTY of Mexican restaurants in Toronto. And good ones to boot. And staffed by Mexicans! So, when my good friend Meghan Warby asked her friend Pamela and me to join her for a margarita at (fittingly) Margaritas (near Cabbagetown), I absolutely loved the idea.

Margaritas is a good Mexican restaurant, with the decor and the food to hold to their reputation as a decent Mexican food restaurant. I had a chance to both order in Spanish AND chat with the chef and the staff.

We ordered a Camarones al Ajillo platter (shrimp in a garlic sauce) and a couple of margaritas. We loved both the food AND the drinks. I will definitely come back to Margaritas next time I am in Toronto. I’m slightly torn between Margaritas and El Trompo, but I hope to have enough time to compare more Mexican restaurants next time I visit Toronto.
