I think this is crutial. And not just a laundry-do-my-chores day... a real day off. Read for leisure, walk, bath, nap and the extra glass of wine you don't have on week days. I love the Jewish idea of Sabbath, and this video from Stephan Sagmister, a famous designer talks about how he plans for real rest in career.

This has always been a tough one for me. I understand the importance of a day off. But even when I try not to work, I have trouble getting my mind off it.

I agree! When I was in school if I got frustrated while studying, or had a "block" I would walk away, make so coffee, listen to music, etc and then go back with a fresh perspective. Worked everytime!
